,

R&W Association at the National Institutes of Health is a revamped platform for NIH staff to access member-only shopping deals (through a secure online signup) along with event information, newsletters, online printing of business cards, and many other resources. Aivilo helped developed an information architecture that incorporated the client’s social media outlets and an integrated blogging platform. Aivilo assisted with the web hosting selection and setup, and installed WordPress as the content management platform. Google’s DoubleClick for Publishers was an important component of the site for ad revenue, and Aivilo implemented the Javascript and PHP code to allow for different ad blocks based on blog categories and specific pages. WordPress has allowed the client to maintain most the day-to-day blog additions but Aivilo continues to be a resource for site maintenance, technical assistance, and planning for expansion to other Federal agencies.

Evolution Basketball offers small group and private basketball training, camps and clinics to young men and women in the Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C. area. Their programs are available year round and are open to beginners all the way up to college recruits. Evolution had always maintained a content rich site but when it began to use social media extensively, the site did not prove flexible enough. Further, having been designed in Front Page, the client found web page editing difficult and file uploading almost impossible. Aivilo developed an information architecture that incorporated the client’s social media outlets and an integrated blogging platform. Aivilo developed a new user interface and presented the client with several design mockups. Aivilo selected WordPress as the content management platform as it was flexible enough to accommodate the project requirements and scalable to meet future needs. The client wanted to continue to maintain the site content as well as expand the site (regularly blog entries, new web pages, etc.). The client was thrilled at how easy it was to edit existing content, create new web pages, and even manage the slideshow graphics on the homepage using the WordPress administrative interface.
